ISPs may be liable for illegal downloads

Postby cheech » Wed Apr 15, 2009 3:06 pm

A quick excerpt from news.com.au (link at bottom)

"THE NSW Federal Court has not ruled out the possibility that an ISP could be in direct breach of copyright laws if it provides internet service to individuals that illegally share files on peer-to-peer networks."

Is it possible for ISPs to lockdown so much that nothing sneaks through. We are clearly targeting the wrong people. We should be turning to the end user that downloads the copyright material.
