haha no no, dont go to whirlpool! Just complain here.....as for tethering, i take it that is sharing the net out from your iphone?

Using the phone as a modem. I remember that back in September 2007 you joined me in playing some online games using a mobile phone as a modem and ICS through a WinXP box :-)

Unlike back then, the iPhone is out in Australia and uses HSDPA and again unlike then, it's a simple matter of changing an option on the phone from "Off" to "On" instead of the incredibly painful Nokia software.

yea, i gathered its an option that makes that kind of thing a whole lot easier!! IS the term tethering something that came light via the iphone? I guess its just that i havnt heard it until just recently.

I think the idea of having "Tethering" offered as a separate product with additional data/access fees on top of your normal data charges wasn't around until the iPhone. Where would we be without capitalism?

It's just been limited to smart phone users rather then mainstream previously

with the reports of iphones mysteriously blowing up i think i will wait just a little bit longer. I know its only isolated occurances but its better being safe then sorry.
