Pic / Eprom programming

Is there a programmer available to do both Pics and Eproms? I have checked out some on ebay but am unsure of there integrity. I am in the process of building a HF ham radio (picastar). It has some pics and eprom chips which I need to program.

This is the programmer of choice.....(cant back that comment up personally)
Its called pocket programmer and has MANY adapters. Should get the job done. However it is a bit hexy! approx $249 USD.
