Sat Dish HELP!!!

Postby Vaughany » Thu Jul 30, 2009 3:10 pm

I need to find out how deep my cement slab has to be for a 500-600kg Sat Dish and 3.8m in diameter to sit on top and to be anchored into....Can any one help me?....at the moment the pad has to be 7m wide and 8m long because of the foot pads. I have looked on google and all it tells me is stuff about the frost line....which is one thing i don't have worry about in perth. I would assume there is a calculation depending on the weight and size of the dish. I can't find...Pls help

Wow are you trying to pick up Transmissions in Europe?

I dont know, but a Foxtel Dish, mounted onto the ground has to be at least 75cm in the ground. (Dish is less than 5kg)

I would say it would have to be teh same depth as a house slab with at least a meter into the ground should be sufficant.

Normal installs for those dishes are around half a metre depths but that is pretty bad concrete. If its rendered concrete half a metre will do it fine.
